Effective Project Management. Communication and coordination are key elements in CPZ Architects’ approach to project management.
On every project, we implement a three-pronged approach to managing the effective and efficient execution of our client’s project: (1) Our principal-in-charge, Mr. Zimmerman, participates in every project, providing oversight and ensuring quality of services provided. (2) Our Quality Control Manager, Mr. Robert Wunsch, coordinates with all staff to assure completion of well-detailed and coordinated construction documents using the latest in computer technology; and (3) in-depth project team review meetings are held at each phase of the project, with client participation, to ensure a well-coordinated project.
CPZ serves as the project team’s single point of contact for all client communications. The engineering and other professional consultants are chosen for their direct experience and expertise for the specific project. Each shares CPZ’s philosophy and commitment to thoroughly coordinated projects.
The result is a record over the last 5 years of obtaining competitive bids within 5% of the client’s construction budget, and a change order rate for design changes of less than 8%.
Sustainable Design. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (L.E.E.D.) is practiced daily on all our design projects. We have many LEED projects in various stages of the Certification, from certified to just starting. One of our latest projects is the construction of an Ecological Resort in the Florida Everglades which is seeking Platinum Certification. The project will be a hotel and learning center that is sustainable and impacts the land as little as possible and in many instances improves the surrounding land.
